In Greek Mythology, Triton, the sea god was known to calm the water with a single move.
A far cry from the 2025 Mitsubishi pick-up truck namesake that was on display at the Chinese Benevolent Association as it was revealed to thunderous applause.
Both vehicles – the other, the Mitsubishi Outlander – were on display for car enthusiasts to witness all the cool new features and updates.

The automotive company went all out in an event aptly themed ‘World of Adventure’, with many queued up for the full spec breakdown.
Jeneque Pinnock, group marketing manager, stated that ‘The Mitsubishi Outlander and Triton are designed for those who are not afraid to explore and push boundaries. These models perfectly encapsulate what Mitsubishi stands for — robust, reliable vehicles that are built for the adventurous spirit’.
The Triton, starting at $7.7m, is built for tough terrains with Superior Select 4-wheel drive (4WD), an 8” smartphone link display, hill descent control, and synthetic leather heat guard, and are available in various vibrant colours, providing options for customers to express their unique styles.
The Outlander, which starts at $8.8m, offers cruise control features, a panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, and leather seating, fit for comfort and adventure.
There was a beeline to see the hardware. Naturally, guests were curious about securing test drives, as well.
One Triton fan, Nicholas Bennett remarked that ‘I’ve had Mitsubishi in the family since 2003 from my father so it’s [become] a generational thing; from as long as I could drive, this has been my brand of choice and every year I look forward to seeing the new models, upgrades and features as a true Mitsubishi fan’.
